In his spring statement, Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced that the VAT payable on energy saving improvements will be cut from 5% to 0% from April 2022.

The Chancellor said,
“As energy costs rise, we know that energy efficiency will make a big difference to bills.”
He added,
“A family having solar panels installed will see tax savings worth over £1,000 and savings on their energy bill of over £300 per year.”+
